Amendments
Consumer Product Testing Co., Inc (“CPT”) may amend or supplement this User Agreement including Privacy Policy at any time. Please check this User Agreement periodically to be aware of and review any such changes. When we make significant changes to this User Agreement, we will notify you of the changes by posting the revised version on our Website. If you do not agree to the amended User Agreement, discontinue use of this Website and contact the webmaster to have your account removed.
Security of Your Account
CPT will offer the Client Access Website to it's clients. The client shall receive a password. The user(s) shall be communicated to CPT. If the user or any other individual acting on behalf of the client or in his/her individual capacity misuses or disseminates the information in an unlawful, unauthorized manner, CPT shall not be held responsible. Client shall indemnify and hold harmless CPT for any legal action.
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU REMEMBER YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD AND THAT YOU KEEP YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD IN A SAFE PLACE OFFLINE.
CPT will use your username and password you have provided to identify you when you return to the CPT Website. If you forget your username or password, you will need to obtain a temporary password through this Website. When you receive a temporary password, it is your responsibility to change your temporary password to a new password on your next visit to this Website.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Account, and for all activities that occur through the use of your Account. You agree to: (i) immediately notify Consumer Product Testing, Co., Inc. of any unauthorized use of Your Account or any other breach of security, and (ii) ensure that you exit from Your Account at the end of each session. Consumer Product Testing Co., Inc. will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this section. You may be issued a new temporary password or required to change your password from time to time.
Each user of eCPT must be a named user. Each user would need to be set up with an account in our main system (requiring the person’s business card information) before getting access to eCPT. To comply with security requirements of both government agencies and client requirements, we do not allow sharing of passwords or accounts as outlined in our user agreement.
Within the portal you can provide access to your studies to other team members who also have eCPT accounts if they were not originally on a specific studies incoming paperwork.
We have put common practices into place in order to help safeguard and prevent unauthorized access, use and/or disclosure of your personally identifiable information. Although we use reasonable efforts to safeguard the security of your personally identifiable information, transmissions made on or through the Internet and personally identifiable information stored on our servers are vulnerable to attack and cannot be guaranteed to be secure. In addition, submissions made via email are not protected by encryption and are vulnerable to interception during transmission. We disclaim responsibility for all negligent acts that may result in disclosure of your personal information.
